A Museum You Should Visit
Less a museum and more a visit to a time and place in the distant past,
if you’re in the vicinity of Thermopolis WY you should make great efforts to get to Legend Rock Petroglyph Site.
Legend Rock Petroglyphs Site is about a 30 minute drive west of Thermopolis. The parking lot is on top of the bluffs where native americans pecked the petroglyphs into the rock.
The bluffs face south, there’s a stream a few hundred yards south of the bluffs. If it’s a quiet day, you can stand at the base of the cliff and feel exactly like someone did eight or ten thousand years ago. It’s mystical.
