Rosario's Peruvian Restaurant

I had lomo saltado at Rosario’s Peruvian Restaurant in Longmont, Colorado.

This is the second time I’ve ended up at Rosario’s in Longmont, both times coincidentally. If you run errands in Northern Colorado, you sometimes end up a long ways from home not having eaten lunch. Longmont is a town with a lot of new development, so there’s lots of chain eateries, but you should ignore them in favor of unique, locally-owned joints like Rosario’s.

This is extremely good stuff. I’d gladly eat this again. The sauce has a soy sauce base, but also a noticeable extra savoriness, maybe from cilantro.

The other time I ate there, I had Asado a la Peruana, which is pot roast with very different herbs and spices. It was also very good. I had a Inca Kola along with the Asado.

A unique flavor, like cream soda with a touch of the flavor that’s identified as “bubblegum” to consumers.

If you have a chance, go to Rosario’s. It’s great.
