Fortune Cookies, March 8, 2025
Got some more takeout from the local strip mall Chinese/Thai place.
The text of the three fortunes:
- You will be successful in love
- You will do well to expand your business
- Love is a present that can be given every single day you live
This is unusual. Fortunes (1) and (2) both reference the future, and so really do constitue fortunes. Fortune (3) is merely vaguely Asian pseudo-philosophical advice.
Two thirds of the fortunes are actually fortunes. My estimate is that only about 25% of the slips of paper in fortune cookies are fortunes.
