Fortune Cookies, April 4, 2026

One non-fortune and two true fortunes from the local strip mall Thai and Chinese restaurant.

True Fortune

• Your life will be a road leading to success and joy
• Your luck will bring financial abundance

Vague Assertion

• Your greatest achievements are the ones that leave a lasting legacy

I wasn’t able to find any of these fortunes on the web today, 2026-04-04. None of these fortunes appears as such in Harry Millner’s Pearls of Wisdom, either.

I’ll have to wait to see if I end up with financial abundance, or success and joy.

By definition, I won’t find out about the lasting legacy. I’ll have no idea which achievements are my greatest in this life. This seems like a dumb thing to put in a fortune cookie, except it becomes funny if you append “between the sheets” to it. Fortune cookie writers must be aware of the “in bed” or “between the sheets” game that’s played with fortunes. Do they include fortunes that are funnier when “in bed” is appended?

I once again found a large number of “quotes blogs”, blogs that are full of collections of trite sayings, albeit not the sayings on the fortune cookies at hand. Who wastes effort on quotes blogs? Is this part of some passive income scheme, or some religious cult?
